Santa Fe Classic Dehumidifier

The Santa Fe classic dehumidifier is the most reliable unit for big basements that are affected by excess humidity. Energy and cost efficient, this unit can remove up to 100 pints of water every day for the exact same running cost as a normal residential dehumidifier. The Santa Fe classic dehumidifier can function as a standalone unit or it can be integrated into already existing ductwork in order to dry remote rooms. It has the ability to cover up to 2,500 sq. ft and it requires virtually no assembly as it ca be plugged into a standard power outlet right away.

How It Operates

This powerful residential dehumidifier comes equipped with a refrigeration system that enables it to remove the moisture from passing air. The air is vacuumed into the appliance via an inlet on the upper side of its housing and ti’s cooled down to under its dew point as it goes across an evaporator spring. As a consequence of the cooling process, all the moisture in the air is condensed into water which is then collected by a drain hose and deposited into the closest drain by the simple force of gravity. After the processed air is cooled down and dehumidified, before it’s released into the room, it is used in the cooling process of the next incoming steam of air. This simple pre-cooling process increases Santa Fe classic dehumidifier’s efficiency by a factor of 200%. After the pre-cooling process is over, the exiting air stream is heated once again by condenser spring and it’s then released back into the room using the exit outlet from the unit’s side.

Low-Temperature Operation

The vast majority of same class dehumidifiers stop functioning or lose a lot of the efficiency that they should have when functioning in the normal colder conditions of a usual basement. This is not the case with this Santa Fe classic dehumidifier. This basement unit continues to dehumidify the air as mentioned in the factory specifications even if operating in temperatures as low as 55 degrees F. This feat is only possible due to a very high-quality, defrost system that stops the frost from forming.

Intuitive Controls

The Santa Fe Classic Dehumidifier has only two simple controls: a knob and a switch. The knob is to be found on the unit’s back side and it enables the control of the in-built humidistat and also to start or stop the appliance. The humidistat can be set to various humidity settings ranging from 20% to 80% which enables you to find the perfect humidity level for your basement. This classic dehumidifier also comes with a blower switch that enables continuous blower functionality which is independent from the dehumidifier. This switch can be used for regulating the air circulation.
